Some expectations that have been set consist of: tardiness, turning your work in on time, and not procrastinating. Since first quarter is almost over, teachers, parents, and even friends expect you to be able to be on time for class, do and turn in your work, and also not procrastinate, which goes along with turning your work in on time. It’s actually quite simple. When you’re absent, it’s your responsibility to go to the classes you missed to see what you need to make up. If you’re absent, most teachers put the assignments you missed in the grade book as 0’s, which stinks, but it reminds you to go and talk to them about your missing work. You will usually have around two days to make up the work, which is reasonable. The teachers will always assist you with missing work if you ask. Football games are great, people get decked out in school spirit, you get to hang out with friends, and cheer on your school all at the same time. Then there's homecoming, the biggest event of first quarter. Homecoming week is crazy; you have spirit week, the pep rally, the parade, the game, and lastly, the dance. Now that I have friends who can drive, life’s become much better! I don’t have to rely on my parents to take me everywhere now; I can just catch a ride from friends. It’s always great to have friends who drive because they can take you to school, so you don’t have to ride the bus. Unfortunately I don’t have my license yet, but I’m getting there.
